Angispan TR 6.5 mg contains the active ingredient nitroglycerin. The principal pharmacological action of the active constituent is the relaxation of vascular smooth muscle. Doctors prescribe it for the acute relief of an attack or acute prophylaxis of angina pectoris due to coronary artery disease. Angina is a type of chest pain that usually happens due to narrowing blood vessels that supply blood to your heart. This causes an insufficient supply of oxygen to your heart. Agispan TR works to relax the muscles and blood vessels in your heart, so more blood flows to your heart. This reduces the symptoms of angina pectoris. It is always best to take medicine at the first sign of chest pain. If the first dose is failed to work, you can take the second tablet after five minutes under the supervision of a doctor. However, if your chest pain does not resolve after fifteen minutes, you should require immediate medical attention. This could be an indication of a heart attack. The medicine also helps prevent chest pain if taken before a workout session or other strenuous activities.

Allergic reactions to organic nitrate are rare, but they can occur. Nitroglycerin is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to it. Daily headaches sometimes accompany this treatment. The therapy is often associated with lightheadedness on standing, especially just after rising from a sitting position. This effect may be more common in patients who consume alcohol.

How To Use

Do not chew or crush the tablet. Swallow it with a glass of water. You should sit down when taking medicine and be cautious when you stand up. Your doctor will suggest to you the correct dose and duration of the medicine. Your doctor may ask you to take medicine before or after consuming food. Precautions

Angispan 6.5 mg can cause dizziness; use this medication with caution when driving or engaging in hazardous activities until response to the drug is known. If chest pain is unresolved in fifteen minutes, seek immediate help at once. Let your doctor know if you get a rapid heartbeat, muscular weakness, unusual restlessness or dizziness, acute headache, or blurred vision.

Concomitant use of sildenafil may precipitate acute hypotension, myocardial infarction, or death.  The use of nitrates for right ventricular infarction may induce acute hypotension. Angispan TR is contraindicated in patients with early myocardial infarction, increased intracranial pressure, severe anaemia, and those with a known hypersensitivity to nitroglycerin or other nitrite or nitrates.

Side Effects

The most reported side effect of Angispan TR 6.5 mg is a headache that may be severe. You may get rid of the side effect by drinking plenty of fluids and avoiding alcohol. You may also experience lightheadedness, which may make you more likely to fall.
