How To Use

Take Augmentin 375 tablet at regular intervals as prescribed by your physician. Complete the prescribed course and always take your antibiotic medication timely to get rid of the bacterial infection. Consult your doctor if you are unsure about the correct dosage. For adults and children over 12 years of age, the usual dose is 375 thrice daily, preferably eight hours for a maximum of two weeks. Do not consume more than the doctor told you to take. Keep on taking the tablets for the period it is prescribed to you. If you are still unwell after finishing the course, please see your doctor.

Precautions

Sometimes Augmentin 375 may not be suitable. You should check with your doctor if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of the medicine.

Certain drugs will interfere with the action of Amoxicillin clavulanic acid. The antibiotic drug does not interact with oral contraceptives, and you should use other birth control measures while taking this medication. The usual dose is 375 thrice daily for dental infections, preferably every eight hours, for five days. The dose of Augmentin for people with severe liver and kidney disease may be less than the usual dose. Your doctor will decide the right dose for you after analysing your condition. These antibiotic tablets may not be suitable for children under twelve years of age or those weighing less than 40 kg.

Side Effects

Most people who take Augmentin 375 do not experience side effects, but like any other medicine, it can cause side effects in some people. The antibiotic medicine can sometimes cause stomach problems such as vomiting, diarrhea, or indigestion. These symptoms are usually mild and can be resolved on their own. Rarely do some people experience headaches, dizziness, convulsion, and hyperactivity. Some patients receiving this antibiotic medication may experience tooth discolartion. However, this is usually removed by regular brushing. Some people can be allergic to antibiotics such as Amoxicillin and can develop a rash.
