Budecort Respules 0.5 mg contains a medicine called Budesonide, belongs to a class of drugs known as corticosteroids. Its regular use reduces swelling and inflammation in your airways. The medicine is effective for asthma patients as it makes breathing easier for them.
How To Use
Always use Budecort Respules 0.5 mg per 2 ml exactly as your doctor has told you. Consult your doctor if you are not sure about the usage of this medicine. The liquid in a Respules must be put into a nebuliser and convert into a fine mist before it inhaled orally. The medicine needs to be inhaled through a mouthpiece. For the treatment of asthma, your doctor will tell you how much to take medicine. The dose usually depends on the severity of the condition. Your doctor may lower your dose as your asthma improves. Your doctor may prescribe Budecort Respules 0.5 mg per 2ml twice a day.
Precautions
Talk to your doctor if you are allergic to Budesonide before using Budecort Respules; tell your doctor if you have a lung infection, liver problems, cold, or chest infections. Contact your doctor if you experience vision problems. Tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medications. This includes medicines that you buy without a prescription or herbal supplements. This is because Budesonide can affect the way certain medicines work, and some medicines can affect the mode of action of Budecort Respules.
If you are feeling breathless while using Budecort Respules, you should continue to use Budesonide, but visit your doctor as soon as possible as you may need additional medicine to treat your condition. Get immediate medical help if your breathing is getting worse or your asthma symptoms wake you up at night with asthma. You will feel chest tightness in the morning, or this tightness lasts longer than usual. If you experience any of these problems, or if your condition is not being properly controlled, you may need a different treatment immediately.
Side Effects
Common side effects of Budecort Respules 0.5 mg per 2 ml are mild sore throat, coughing, hoarse voice, pneumonia, a fungal infection in the mouth, pneumonia in COPD patients. Tell your doctor if you develop fever or chills, increased mucous production, increased cough, change in mucus color, or increased breathing difficulties.
