Duova Inhaler 9mcg 6mcg is prescribed to relieve breathlessness in patients suffering from a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD; long-standing lung disease that causes shortness of breath and coughing). It is also used treatment of wheezing, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties caused by asthma.
Tiotropium Bromide and Formoterol Fumarate are the main ingredients present in Duova 9 mcg + 6 mcg Inhaler. The combination drug is available in a metered-dose inhalers dosage form. This dosage form gives you the targeted delivery of the drug at the site of action, which is also known as “Puffers”. This combination is an effective anticholinergic medication that provides symptomatic relief and prevents Asthma, Chronic bronchitis, and chronic disorders of pulmonary glands.
How To Use
Duova 200 mdi is available in the form of an Inhaler. Before use, the mouthpiece should be checked for its hygiene; it should be cleaned. Remove the cap and hold the inhaler upright, shake the inhaler, put the mouthpiece into the mouth and hold tightly with your lips, then press down on the inhaler to release the medicine as you start to breathe in slowly for 3 to 5 seconds. Hold your breath for 10 seconds to allow the medicine to go deeply into your lungs. Repeat the procedure if it is prescribed. Your doctor will decide your dose according to your condition; therefore, it is advised to take this medicine as per your doctor’s recommendations. Your doctor will tell you how often you need to use the inhaler. The effect of this inhaler drug may be noticeable after a few days but will reach its maximum effects after a few weeks. The combination inhaler medicine should be used regularly to be effective, so keep taking it even if you don’t have any symptoms. If you stop treatment for any reason, your COPD may get worse. To get the most benefits from the drug, you need to ensure you get your inhaler technique right; otherwise, it doesn’t work as well.
Precautions
Check the prescription for directions before use. Duova inhalers should not be used in patients who are allergic to the active ingredient or other components present in this formulation. Make sure you inform your doctor about allergies and what signs you have had. This includes talking about hives, cough, shortness of breath, itching, rash, shortness of breath, swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat, any other signs.
Side Effects
The most common side effects of Duova inhaler 200mdi are dizziness, vomiting, diarrhea, nasopharyngitis, insomnia. If you get any of these side effects, immediately discontinue treatment and talk to your doctor. You can prevent most of the symptoms by simply rinsing your mouth or brushing your teeth after inhaler. There are some rare side effects associated with the use of Tiotropium bromide and Formoterol fumarate that can be serious. Talk to your doctor if you are concerned about them.
