Foracort Rotacaps 100 mcg 6 mcg is a prescription medicine used to control asthma symptoms and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is an effective treatment for adults and children aged 6 year and old who have asthma. Your doctor may often prescribe this medicine to manage a long-term chronic lung disease that includes chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or both. Foracort Rotacaps are effective for long term management of symptoms of COPD for better breathing. Its regular use reduces the number of flare-ups. The medicine is not recommended to treat a sudden asthma attack; you need to use your rescue inhaler to treat sudden wheeziness and breathlessness.

How To Use

Your doctor will tell you how to use and how much to use Foracort Rotacaps 100 mcg 6mcg.  The effect of this medicine may be noticeable after a few days of using it regularly.  You may reach out the maximum effects after a few weeks. Make sure you use it regularly, exactly as prescribed by your doctor, even if you don’t have any symptoms.  

Foracortg Rotacaps 100mccg 6mcg must not be swallowed. Check the prescription for correct directions of use. The medicine is safe and effective when used under the supervision of a doctor. It usually works within a few minutes, and the effects last for up to several hours. Do not discontinue treatment without your doctor’s approval.

Precautions

Before using Foracort Rotacaps 100mcg 6mcg, one should tell your doctor if you have any liver or kidney diseases. This way, your doctor will be able to decide the suitable dose for you. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding.  The medicine should not be used in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the medical components. It is contraindicated in the primary treatment of status asthmaticus or other acute asthma episodes where intensive treatment is required. Patients should be aware that the Rotacap medication must be used daily for optimum benefit when they are no symptoms. The treatment should not be used in patients during rapidly deteriorating or life-threatening episodes of asthma.

Side Effects

Foracort Rotacaps 100mcg 6 mcg can cause side effects. The commonly reported were increased blood pressure, adrenal insufficiency, eye problems, headaches, nervousness, tremors, chest pain, increased wheezing, low bone mineral density, a fast and irregular heartbeat, or reduced immune functions.
