Forcan 200 mg is a tablet you swallow to treat vaginal yeast infections caused by a yeast called Candida. It contains the active ingredient Fluconazole, which stops yeast’s growth in the vagina, so the yeast infection disappears. Forcan is different from other treatments for vaginal yeast infections as it is a medicine for oral administration. Your doctor may prescribe Fluconazole for other conditions as well. However, this medication guide only uses this anti-fungal medication for vaginal yeast infections. It is important to use this product only under the supervision of a doctor. Having a medical condition and certain medicines can increase your risk of getting a yeast infection. How To Use

Swallow Forcan 200 mg tablet before or after consuming food. You can take the pill at any time of the day. Fluconazole keeps working for several days to treat the fungal infection. Usually, the symptoms resolve after 24 hours. However, it may take several days for your symptoms to disappear completely. If there is no improvement in the symptoms after a few days of the treatment, call your doctor. To avoid a possible serious reaction, do not take Forcan 200 mg; if you are already taking erythromycin, astemizole, quinidine, cisapride, and pimozide can change in a heartbeat some people who are receiving this anti-fungal treatment. A single tablet is sufficient to treat vaginal infection. Certain medications can affect how well Fluconazole works. Check with your doctor before starting the new medicine within seven days of the treatment.

Precautions

Do not take Forcan 200 mg if you take certain medications, as this can cause serious health complications. Therefore, tell your doctor about all the medicines, including medications for blood pressure, diabetes, heartburn, depression, psychiatric illness, bacterial infections, asthma, seizures, tuberculosis, malaria, blood cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, lipid-lowering drugs, or vitamin A nutritional supplement. Avoid taking Fluconazole if you have liver problems or other medical conditions.

Side Effects

The most common side effects of Forcan 200 mg include diarrhoea, dizziness, stomach pain, nausea, upset stomach, and changes in food taste. Forcan 200 mg can cause serious side effects such as flutter in your chest, sudden dizziness, chills, fever, body aches, fats or pounding heartbeat, flu symptoms, unusual weakness, seizure, shortness of breath, easy bruising, loss of appetite, upper stomach pain, flu symptoms, dark urine, clay coloured stool, body aches, fast or pounding heartbeat, unusual weakness, etc.
