Tazret Forte cream 0.1% 20 gm is highly effective in rapidly reducing the severity of psoriasis. It is for topical use and contains the active ingredient, Tazarotene. Each tube of Tazret Forte gel contains 0.1% of Tazarotene in a translucent, aqueous gel. Tazarotene is useful as a topical treatment of patients with plaque psoriasis of to 20% body surface involvement. It is equally effective for patients with facial acne vulgaris of mild to moderate severity. The efficacy of the product in treating acne previously treated with retinoids or resistant to oral antibiotics has not established.
How To Use
Tazret gel is for topical use only. It is not for ophthalmic use, oral, or intravaginal use. Avoid accidental contact of Tazret gel into the eyes, mouth, or other mucous membranes. If contact with mucous membranes occurs, rinse thoroughly with running water. Wash hands thoroughly after application of the gel. For psoriasis treatment, apply a thin film of gel once daily in the evening to cover the psoriatic lesions on no more than 20% of body surface area. Make sure you apply the gel to clean and dry skin before applying the gel. If moisturizers are used, they should be applied at least an hour before application of the gel. Application of Tazarotene on normal skin areas should be avoided because unaffected skin may be more susceptible to irritation.
For the treatment of acne, cleanse the face gently. After the skin is dry, apply a thin layer of gel once per day, preferably before bedtime. Rub the formulation gently to the skin where acne lesions appear. Use enough to cover the entire affected area. Use effective sunscreens and wear protective clothing while using the gel.
Precautions
Application of Tazret forte gel may cause excessive irritation on the skin of certain individuals. Some people receiving Tazarotene therapy may experience excessive pruritus, skin redness, or peeling of the skin. If these unwanted effects occur, the medicine should either be discontinued until the skin improves. The frequency of application should be monitored closely by careful observation of therapeutic response and skin tolerance. Check the prescription carefully before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Your dermatologist will resume the therapy or increase the frequency of application as the patient can tolerate treatment. Concomitant use of topical medication and skincare products that have a strong drying effect should be avoided. Let your dermatologist know if you have eczema, as it may cause severe irritation. Exposure to sunlight should be avoided unless medically necessary, but in such cases, the exposure should be minimized while receiving Tazarotene. For the patients with psoriasis, apply the gel only to psoriasis skin lesions, avoiding normal skin.
Side Effects
Common side effects of Tazret Forte cream 0.1% 20 gm include skin redness, itching, dry skin, skin peeling, and irritation. Most of these side effects are temporary and usually resolve within a few days of regular usage. Please speak to your dermatologist straight away if any unwanted effect persists for a longer duration. Consult your dermatologist if you develop skin irritation, itching, skin irritation, skin peeling, dry skin, or skin redness.
