Product Description
Toba DM, 0.3% 5ml, is a topical ophthalmic solution specially formulated for topical therapy of external ophthalmic infections. Each ml of Toba eye drop contains the active ingredient Tobramycin, which is active against a wide range of ophthalmic bacterial infections. The eye drop is effective against bacterial infections of the outer part of the eye. It contains the active ingredient Tobramycin, which belongs to the class of antibiotics known as an aminoglycoside. Before prescribing this ophthalmic solution, your doctor will examine your eyes and decide whether the medicine is right for you or not. Your doctor may have prescribed Tobramycin for some other reason. The eye drop is only available on a doctor ‘s prescription.
How To Use
The adult dose of Tobramycin will depend on the type and severity of the infection. The usual dose in severe infection is two drops in the affected eye every hour until your symptoms improve. The recommended dose in case of mild to moderate ophthalmic infection is 1 to 2 drops in the affected eye every four hours. Follow your ophthalmologist’s advice, and your ophthalmologist will tell you how much of this ophthalmic solution you need to use each day. If you use it less often than you should, it may not work well, and the eye condition may not work. And using it more often than you may not improve the eye problem any faster and may increase the risk of side effects. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before putting the eye drops.
Keep using the ophthalmic solution until the prescribed period, even if you begin to feel better than after a few days. If you do not complete the full course of treatment, the infection may not clear completely, and your symptoms may re-appear again. If you have any doubt about the usage of this medicine, please talk to your doctor.
Precautions
Do not use Tobramycin to treat any complaints unless your ophthalmologist advises. Do not discontinue treatment or lower the dosage just because you feel better without consulting your doctor. If the symptoms do not improve within a few days or if they become worse, please tell your doctor. You must inform your ophthalmologist if you can’t use Toba DM eye drops as prescribed for any reason. If you are using any other topical medication, tell your ophthalmologist.
The safety and effectiveness of Toba DM eye drops in children under the age of twelve months have not been established. Do not use this ophthalmic solution if you are allergic to Tobramycin or any other inactive formulation ingredients.
