Atorlip F 10+145 mg combines two active ingredients, Atorvastatin and Fenofibrate, to decrease cholesterol levels in the bloodstream. The combination medicine acts as a cholesterol blocker and thus reduces the levels of bad cholesterol or Low-density lipoprotein (LDL). This drug keeps a balanced check to control the levels of total cholesterol (total- C), LDL, Apo lipoprotein B (Apo-B), triglycerides (TG), and non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (nonHDL-C).

How To Use

The recommended dose for adults is Atorlip F 10+145 mg, consumed once daily. The medicine can be taken with a meal or on an empty stomach. However, the patient should be kept strictly on lipid-lowering diets during medication. Your doctor will prescribe the correct dose depending on the lipid levels and how you respond to the medicine. Most people with high cholesterol levels and triglycerides do not feel sick, but stopping the medicine may increase your lipid levels, worsening your condition and increasing your stroke and heart disease risk.

Precautions

Atorlip F can cause muscle pain by injuring the muscles. Speak to your doctor if you experience weakness, muscle pain, or muscle cramps. It could indicate any muscle injury caused by atorvastatin and fenofibrate. This combination medicine should be avoided in patients with underlying liver disease. Caution should be taken if you develop any signs and symptoms of liver damage. These symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, fever, rash, dark urine, fatigue, and yellowing of skin or eyes. Before taking Atorlip F, let your doctor know if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Diabetic patients should check their blood sugar levels while taking the medicine as it may raise blood sugar levels.  

Side Effects

Stomach pain, constipation, nausea, headache, muscle pain, and excessive gas are common side effects of Atorlip F. These are usually mild and resolve quickly. Take immediate medical advice if they persist, or you notice any yellowing of your eyes, bruising, unusual bleeding, or develop repeated unexplained severe muscle pain.
