Product Description

Augmentin 1000 mg 875+125 is a combination of antibiotic medication consisting of Amoxycillin and potassium clavulanate. The combination results in an increased spectrum of action and restored efficacy against a wide range of bacterial infections. The two active ingredients are different but work together to destroy the bacteria that cause infections. Amoxicillin restricts the growth of bacteria, while potassium clavulanate reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxicillin against the susceptible bacteria. The combination drug is effective against various bacterial infections such as throat, throat, sinus, teeth, lung, joints, urinary tract, and bones. It makes you feel better within a few days, but make sure you complete the treatment course; otherwise, a bacterial infection will return.

How To Use

It is best to take Augmentin 1000 mg with a meal to reduce the risk of stomach upset. Your doctor may ask to take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the doctor’s instructions. The dose usually depends on the patient’s condition for what he/she is being treated, and it is always important to complete the course. Do not discontinue treatment until advised by your doctor.

Precautions

Before taking Augmentin 875+125 mg, let your doctor know all the allergies or if you are allergic to any antibiotic drug or have kidney or liver problems. Inform your doctor about all the medicines you have been using, including herbal supplements, vitamins, or other counter drugs.

Side Effects

Augmentin 1000 mg (875+125) can cause mild to severe side effects. The most common side effects associated with the use of Augmentin include vomiting, diarrhea, and nausea. These side effects are usually mild and resolve within a few days of initiating the treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Call your doctor straight away if you develop serious side effects that are given below:

Liver problems are not common, but some people who receive Augmentin can develop liver damage. Liver problems are more common in an elderly patient who takes this antibiotic medication for the long term. Usually, hepatic insufficiency resolves on treatment discontinuation, but they may be severe and require medical attention in other cases. Visit your doctor on time, as he/she may do blood tests to check for liver damage. Symptoms of liver damage include fatigue, stomach pain, and yellowing of your skin or the whites of your skin.

  • Allergic reaction- Rarely a serious allergic reaction can occur in some Augmentin users. This is more likely to occur in people who are already allergic to penicillin. You should not take medicine if you have ever had a serious allergic reaction associated with the medicine. Taking it again could be life-threatening. If you have a history of an allergic reaction to Amoxicillin, clavulanate, or penicillin, speak to your doctor before taking it again. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include hives, trouble breathing, severe skin rash, swelling of the lips, throat, and throat.
  • Intestinal infection- Some people who receive antibiotic treatment, including Amoxicillin and Clavulanate tablets, can develop an intestinal infection called clostridium difficile. Tell your doctor if you develop nausea, stomach pain or cramping, severe diarrhea that doesn’t go away, and blood in your stool.

Payment was confusing at first. Customer service very hrlpful. I placed 2 orders thinking I would be getting 2 different shipments then go a email saying was out of stock. I think to avoid confusion on this if something is out of stick you shouldn't be allowed to order it
