Cutisoft Cream 1% is a topical corticosteroid for application to the skin only. It contains the active ingredient hydrocortisone, which belongs to a group of drugs known as corticosteroids. The class of drugs reduces inflammation in various inflammatory conditions such as mild to moderate eczema, dermatitis, and allergies. It reduces the swelling, redness, itching associated with these conditions. The topical formulation shares anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic and vasoconstrictive activities. The cream can also relieve the itching, swelling, and irritation of the skin caused by insect bites and sting.

How To Use

Always go through the instructions mentioned on your prescription paper. It is meant to be applied to inflamed areas. Apply the medicine only after doctor’s recommendation. Cutisoft cream 1% is meant to be applied to the inflamed skin areas. Gently apply the cream on the infected area and rub it into the skin until it has disappeared. Always use the topical formulation as instructed by the doctor. Don’t apply the medicine in a greater amount. Generally, it can be applied once or twice a day. Apply it if recommended by the doctor. Always ask the dermatologist before stopping the application. The topical formulation is generally applied to the affected area as a thin film from two to four times a day, depending on the severity of the condition. Use the topical corticosteroid drug on the skin only. However, do not use it on the face, groin or underarms unless instructed by the doctor. Be sure to wash your hands before using Cutisoft cream 1%. Clean and dry the affected area where you must apply the medicine.

Precautions

Cutisoft cream 1 % should not be given to patients with a history of hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone and other inactive medicine ingredients. Do not use it if you have a bacterial infection, a viral infection, of fungal infection of the skin. Take special care if you are dealing with conditions involving the deeper skin layers, such as granulomas. Patients having psoriasis should only this topical product under the supervision of a doctor. Do not cover the treated area with clothing of any kind after application of the cream. Take great care while applying the cream sparingly on to the skin, especially in the nappy area of your children, which can be covered for long periods. Treatment for infants must not exceed seven days. Let your doctor know if you are using other medications to treat your other skin conditions. Your doctor should also be aware of your pregnancy status or if you are a breastfeeding woman. However, it is still unknown whether the medication can affect your unborn or passes on to the breast milk.

Side Effects

The side effects of Montair 10 mg frequently associated with topical corticosteroids include itching, burning, dryness, hypopigmentation, hypertrichosis, allergic contact dermatitis, perioral dermatitis, acneiform eruptions, folliculitis, and secondary infection.
