Finast 5 mg is used to shrink an enlarged prostate in adult men suffering from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). This men’s health condition can lead to severe health issues, including urinary tract infections and the sudden inability to urinate. BPH can also lead to the need for surgery that involves medical procedures to improve the urine flow.  Finast 5 mg reduces the chance of surgery by controlling the size of enlarged prostate in adult men. It contains the active ingredient Finasteride which improves symptoms of BPH and provides benefits such as the decreased urge to pass urine, normal urine flow with less straining, difficulty emptying the bladder, and reduced urge to urinate, especially at midnight. Finasteride 5 mg is not approved for the treatment of prostate cancer. Women and children must not take this tablet. It may take a few months to see the full effect; continue using it as long as your health care specialist advises you. How To Use

Take Finast 5 mg tablet once daily at about the same time. This helps you remember to take medicine. Take it only when your health care specialist prescribes it.  Do not chew or crush the tablet; swallow it whole with a glass of water. The treatment may take up to 6 months or more, depending on the patient’s condition. Please do not make any changes in your dosing schedule without discussing them with your health care specialist because doing this may delay the effects of your medicine or may increase your chance of getting side effects. You should promptly report to your health care specialist if you notice persistent troubles associated with the medicine.

Precautions

It is best to take medicine under the supervision of a health care specialist to avoid medicine-associated complications. One should always notice the signs of allergic reactions like rash, tightness in the chest, peeling skin, trouble breathing, or swelling of the throat, lips, or face. Side Effects

Tell your health care specialist if you notice an inability to have an erection, less desire for sex, or a change in ejaculation, including a decreased amount of semen. Other reported side effects of Finasteride 5 mg tablets are hives, skin rash, testicle pain, breast swelling or tenderness, lumps pain, or discharge from the nipples. Some rare but severe health complications associated with Finast tablets are swelling of the lips or face and trouble swallowing or breathing.
