Megabrom 5 ml is indicated for treating postoperative inflammation and reducing ocular pain in patients who have undergone cataract extraction. It effectively treats individuals who have recently had cataract surgery. It also reduces the swelling and inflammation of the eye. The eye drops contain the active ingredient Bromfenac, which works by inhibiting the production of certain chemicals in the eye that cause swelling and pain. Thereby Megabrom 5 ml helps relieve swelling and eye pain after cataract surgery.   

How To Use

Megabrom is available as an eye drop to be taken through an ocular route that is through an eye. It is advised to shake well before use, then open the lid and slowly install the few drops of this medicine; then, gently close the eyes for one to two minutes so that eye drops get absorbed well. Close the lid tightly after use. Always wash your hands before using the eye drop. You should not touch the tip of the dropper bottle. Complete the treatment course as this helps ensure the symptoms are completely cured and their recurrence.     

 

Precautions

Megabrom 5 ml should not be used in patients allergic to the active ingredient or another component in this formulation. It should not be given to pregnant women or those planning to get pregnant. Discuss with your doctor, especially in the last three months of pregnancy, as it may harm your unborn baby. This ophthalmic solution should not be given to a breastfeeding mother because this drug may pass through the breast milk and harm the unborn child.

 

You are advised to remove soft contact lenses before using the ophthalmic solution as it may discolor your contact lenses. You are advised to maintain a gap of five minutes between using Bromfenac ophthalmic solution. Please avoid touching the top of the bottle to the eyes or surrounding areas. This way, eye drops can cause eye infections. The eye drops may cause blurred vision for some time, immediately after using the eye drop. So be sure to drive only when you think your vision is clear after using the ophthalmic solution.  

 

Side Effects

This ophthalmic solution may cause blurred vision, change in color vision, eye pain, decreased vision, teary eyes, sore eyes, and increased sensitivity to light. These side effects are usually temporary and resolve with time. However, you should speak to your doctor if the side effects worsen. They may suggest ways to prevent or reduce the symptoms.

    This product is just glorified eye drops. Does nothing to help cure Conjunctivitis or Pink Eye. Don't waste your money.

    I've no idea if this works but I think it did. I was so anxious to get rid of it I used three eye drops... But it feels good and I don't have pink eye.
