Product Description

Voveran gel 1% effectively treats pain, redness, swelling, and inflammation from medical conditions such as different types of arthritis, menstrual cramps, and other types of short-term pain. It helps to relieve arthritis pain in some of your joints. It effectively treats arthritis pain in the arms and the legs. It is unknown whether the topical preparation works on your spine, hips, or shoulders.

How To Use

Your doctor has prescribed Voveran gel 1% to help relieve arthritis pain in your joints. It effectively treats arthritis pain in the hands, wrists, elbows, feet, ankles, and knees. Use exactly how your doctor provides it for you. Do not apply the medication anywhere other than your doctor tells you to. Do not use the medication in a large amount. Increase the application time only as directed by your doctor. In general, it should not be used more than once a day. Your doctor will prescribe the dose as per your condition; therefore, it is important to follow your doctor’s advice when using Voveran gel.  

For topical application:

• Apply Voveran gel to clean, dry skin that does not have cuts, open wounds, rashes, or infections.
• Avoid applying heating pads or apply bandages on the treated area.
• Avoid exposing treated skin to sunlight and artificial light such as tanning booths.
• Avoid sunscreens, lotions, moisturizers, insect repellants or other topical medicines on the same area where you have applied Voveral gel 1 %.
• Do not get the gel formulation in your eyes, nose, or mouth. Voveran is for topical use only. If you get the product into your eyes, wash your eyes right away with water. Inform your doctor right away if eye irritation persists for more than an hour.

Squeeze the product on your palm, and make sure the gel covers the entire affected area. Apply to your foot, ankle, or knee. Gently rub the formulation with your fingers into the skin. Wash your hands after applying the gel.

Precautions

Do not take NSAIDs if you are already using any other topical formulation. It is important to tell your doctor about all the medicines that you have been using and any other medicine

If you have an allergy to aspirin or similar NSAIDs, such as ibuprofen or naproxen, you could have an allergic reaction to diclofenac. Call your doctor if you have signs of hives, an itchy rash, and wheezing.

Concomitant use of Diclofenac gel with other topical products, including topical medications, moisturizers, and cosmetics, on the same skin site has where you have applied the gel preparation. The safety and effectiveness of the product in pediatric patients have not been established.  

Side Effects

Voveran 1% can cause mild to serious side effects. The most common side effects that can occur with Diclofenac gel include stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea, gas, sleepiness, vomiting, heartburn, itching or rash at the application site. Serious side effects of the medicine include:

• Allergic reaction- symptoms are hives, rash, itching and breathing problems.
• Edema- increased weight, increased blood pressure, swelling of the feet or ankles.
• Stomach bleeding- blood in your stool, dark colored stools.
• Bruising easily.
